Both charged with dangerous driving causing death
Two people have been charged in connection with a crash in east-end Barrie on January 29 that claimed the life of a 17-year-old girl.
Police say she was a passenger in a westbound car that lost control as it entered the curve on Georgian Drive near the entrance to Georgian College.
The vehicle left the road after mounting a snowbank, struck a large sign, rolled numerous times before coming to rest in a field between the road and Highway 400.
The male driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation, police have charged two males, aged 17 and 19, with dangerous driving causing death.
