Union representing Casino Rama workers pursuing a closure of the heavily populated workplace

This pressure comes hand-in-hand with The Chief Medical Officer of Ontario's Friday advisory

The union which represents the majority of employees at Casino Rama is pursuing potential closure of the workplace in wake of COVID-19.

The Chief Medical Officer of Ontario’s Friday advisory, public gatherings of more than 250 people are to be suspended immediately.

With Casino Rama attracting very large crowds on a daily basis, the union wants to ensure that the well-being of employees is a top priority. The advisory stated that even small gatherings should seek guidance from their local public health unit before running.
