Unlicensed driver nabbed for stunt driving on Highway 400

Police tweeted that the motorist was late for work when pulled over

Unlicensed and speeding say provincial police has resulted in charges against a 28-year-old Midland resident.

OPP say the driver was clocked travelling 172 km/h per hour on Highway 400 southbound at Forbes Road in Springwater Township.

"Late for work is no excuse to speed 172 km/h," police said in a tweet on Tuesday.

The motorist has been charged with stunt driving and driving unlicensed.

The vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
