Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and with it comes all sorts of pressure about what to do for the holiday and who to spend it with.
We believe that having fun doesn’t have to be limited to only those in a relationship. With that in mind, we’ve come up with a list of activities you can take part in to enjoy Valentine’s Day on your own terms.
Celebrating love isn’t just about couples. Grab your friends, family, teammates or co-workers and celebrate all kinds of special relationships
Heart Pizzas at Boston Pizza
Heart-shaped pizzas at Boston Pizza are back. If you can’t make it in, you can have one delivered, or better yet, send it to someone you’re thinking about!
One Dollar from every heart-shaped pizza will go to support the Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects. Treat yourself or another to a fun, delicious dinner while also giving back! It’s a win for everyone.
Winterama Kick-Off Event
Discovery Harbour is hosting a fun evening on February 14th that can be enjoyed with any duo or group. The Winterama kick-off event will have skating, a fireworks display, live music, fire jugglers, and even movie look-alike characters.
Discovery Harbour – 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Valentine’s Day Bollywood Bash
This one’s for the local college students looking to get out and enjoy some Valentine’s fun, no matter what your relationship status is. It’ll be one big dance party at The Last Class to celebrate those who are in love, those who aren’t, and everyone else in between.
The dress code for this event will let everyone know your status; White means your single and living, Red means your taken, and Black means your ready to mingle.
The Last Class – 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM
Beer My Valentine
If the only thing you love more than craft beer is your significant other, Redline Brewhouse’s Beer My Valentine event is perfect for you (and if it’s the other way around, we won’t tell anyone). Enjoy a night of live music from Megan Anne, Valentine’s Day Dinner specials, and of course, lots of delicious craft beer to choose from.
Redline Brewhouse – 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Splash Your Spouse (Or Anyone Else)
Make A Mess Art Studio located in Penetanguishene is hosting a unique event on Valentine’s Day dedicated to getting messy, making art and having fun: Splash Your Spouse.
You and a partner will be given 15 minutes in a designated room to splash paint at each other. Your ticket to this event will also include 2 “Make A Mess” T-shirts, 2 alcoholic beverages and a variety of in-house made appetizers.
A Valentine’s Evening of Love and Laughter
Another event where you can enjoy yourself while raising money for an amazing cause? Yes, please. A Valentine’s Evening of Love and Laughter will see comedian and actor Deb McGrath and the always hilarious improv troupe The Yes Man filling the Holiday Inn with Laughter. There is a pre-show buffet and room discounts too!
Holiday Inn – 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM
Murder Mystery Night
Get out your magnifying glass and don your deerstalker hat because the Lions Club of Barrie is hosting a Murder Mystery Night full of intrigue, surprises, and even a spaghetti dinner! Here’s my prediction: It was definitely Professor Plum with the candlestick in the library.
Collier Street United Church – 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Fireside Ice Lounge
If you’re looking for something a little more low key, head over to Meridian Place for a night at the Fireside Ice Lounge.
