Thieves targeted newer models of Toyota Tundras near Alliston and in Beeton, possibly by the same individuals.
Ontario Provincial Police were alerted around 8 a.m. Sunday about a stolen 2023 Toyota Tundra from a home on Sutcliffe Way in the Alliston area.
"The victim reported that video footage from the home shows a dark-coloured sedan was observed passing the residence southbound, and shortly after, it was seen again passing the driveway northbound at a very slow speed. The vehicle then stopped, and two occupants exited the vehicle," police stated in a news release.
Police added that the vehicle was taken around 12:30 a.m.
Later on Sunday, officers responded to a residence on Atkinson Crescent, close to where the first theft happened, and Patterson Street in Beeton, where a 2024 Toyota Tundra and a 2025 Toyota Tundra were damaged during an apparent attempt to steal them overnight.
"Video footage shows the same dark-coloured sedan from the first theft in front of both residences where the two attempts took place," police said.
