Victims of Mount Albert stabbing expected to survive
Woman and two young boys in hospital
Three victims who were rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a stabbing Saturday in Mount Albert, east of Newmarket, are expected to survive, say York Regional Police. They are a two-year-old boy, a four-year-old boy and a 35-year-old woman.
Police were called Saturday to a Ridge Gate Crescent home where they found a 38-year-old woman dead on the porch.
A suspect in the home, a 37-year-old man, was shot and killed during an interaction with police.
Ontario’s Special Investigation Unit is investigating.
Residents in the neighborhood can continue to expect a police presence in the area, however York Regional Police say there is no concern for public safety.
