They call it "family chic comfort food," actually...that's not entirely true. Celebrity Chef Randy Feltis and his wife Sarah Jackson spell chic their own way, "sheek." Almost everything done at their restaurant The Farmhouse is done their own way.
Comfort food you can actually feel good about, right on Barrie's waterfront? Yes, please!

Our favorites include the Mac n' Cheese and the PEI mussels. Chef Feltis gets very excited about a good cheese pull. "Look at this mac'n cheese [as he pulls the cheese a part], oh man, I just love a good cheese pull." He was excited to serve us this staple along with his colourful robust take on a steaming bowl of PEI mussels, done in a leek dill broth with smoked bacon.
The bartenders then mixed up some drinks, all of which were made with freshly squeezed juice [in-house] and then Feltis served us a piece of cream pie (that in itself, is worth the trip to Barrie's waterfront).

They created a menu full of those typical comfort food staples like mac and cheese, but it doesn't end there. Feltis takes a farm-to-table approach to all of his menu items whenever possible.

It's this mentality that shines through on your plate. Be it a splash of colour from local berries or a glaze done from maple syrup straight from the Feltis family farm. Menu
