Am Shalom Congregation Hosting Memorial

A vigil is to be held in memory of those lost in a hate-fueled shooting in Pittsburgh.

The Am Shalom Congregation will be hosting the memorial at Barrie City Hall Tuesday evening, starting at 6:30.

Eleven people were killed at the Tree of Life synagogue Saturday, the victims range in age from 50 to 97; two brothers and a husband and wife are among the dead.

A 46-year-old man, shot multiple times in a police shootout, faces dozens of criminal charges; authorities are treating this as a hate crime.
