Walmart says it has taken all the measures necessary to ensure the well-being of staff and customers after a worker at the south-end Barrie store and another in Alliston tested positive for COVID-19.
The Barrie worker was last on the job April 6; the Alliston employee on March 22.
“We have regular enhanced cleaning in the stores and other social distancing measures in place,” said Felicia Fefer, Corporate Affairs Manager with Walmart. “Rest assured, we will continue to take measures necessary to ensure the well-being of our customers and associates.”
Co-workers who had been in close, prolonged contact with the pair have been instructed to self-isolate.
