
A violent incident has resulted in a long list of criminal charges for a Wasaga Beach resident.
On Monday, police say they responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a location in Collingwood where a verbal dispute escalated into intimate partner violence.
"A 35-year-old male assaulted a female, damaged her personal property, and was found in possession of a spring-assisted knife with a brass knuckle handle. During the arrest, the individual resisted officers and damaged a police cruiser," police stated in a news release.
It's alleged he also threatened an officer.

The accused was charged with three mischief-related offences, two counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon, two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, two counts of failure to comply with an undertaking, and one count each of fail to comply with a release order, assault and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
