UPDATE: Police Identify Naked Man Who Jumped Into Shark Tank At Ripley’s Aquarium At The Weekend
Toronto Police Want To Speak To The Man In Question
Toronto Police say the man caught on video disrobing and jumping into the aquarium’s shark exhibit is a 37-year-old from Nelson, BC.
He was also wanted for questioning in a serious assault earlier that evening outside of Medieval Times at Exhibition Place.
He is believed to be driving a green Dodge Caravan with BC license plate PL120G.
Officers received a call around 10:30 p.m. on Friday night, about indecent exposure at Ripley’s. When police arrived on the scene, the man was already gone. The aquarium was hosting “Ripley’s Aquarium’s Friday Night Jazz”, an event where they host live music and offer alcoholic drinks for a “deep sea musical adventure”.
Some videos of the ‘event’ are now making the rounds on social media.
Ripley’s says that surveillance video showed the man arriving around 10 PM. According to a release, he didn’t waste much time jumping in to the tank.
