Numerous weapon charges have been laid against a 38-year-old Essa Township man after provincial police executed a search warrant on the 10th Line.
Police said the suspect was charged with the following:
· CC 87 Pointing a Firearm
· CC 88 Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
· CC 91(1) Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
· CC 92(2) Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
· CC 162.2(4) Failure to comply with prohibition order
· CC 88 Possession of Prohibited device or ammunition for Dangerous Purpose
· CC 733.1(1) Fail to Comply with Probation Order
· CC 95(1) Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
The search warrant was carried out by members of the Nottawasaga OPP Major Crime Unit, OPP Tactical Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Unit, Canine and Aviation Services.
The accused was held pending a bail hearing in Bradford.
