1. Local Woman Competes in a Lineman's Rodeo
We spoke with McKenzie Gillan, a powerline technician for Hydro One in Lake of Bays region. She works in a non-traditional field for women and has been selected to compete next week in a Lineman's Rodeo.
2. Brass Ring Dance Inc.
Midland's Allie Laliberte has been living her dream in Los Angeles as a professional dancer. She has worked with Drake, Shawn Mendes, Ricky Martin and more. She has started a new charity to make dance more accessible to rural communities in Ontario, starting in Midland.
3. Barrie Sports Hall of Fame
The Barrie Sports Hall of Fame inducted the Class of 2022 this week. The Hall's Chairperson, Tom Ewles, tells our Will Konken that the Hall's directors are pondering its future … where it might be, and how you might access it.
4. Fire Prevention Week
We talk about fire safety all the time ... so this is a reminder of what every family should consider to make their home fire safe. Ian MacLennan sat down with Barrie Deputy Fire Chief Carrie Clark and Kate Foster Who recently joined the service as a Public Educator.
