It's been a tough couple of weeks with all this bone-chilling weather, so we are more than ready to have some fun!
This weekend is particularly busy for our city, with so many choices to keep you busy. If you're brave enough to take part in some of the outdoor events....make mothers everywhere happy and wrap yourself up in those layers.
Here's what Barrie's got going on this weekend:
1. Barrielicious
There's only 3 days left of Barrielicious. Get out and enjoy the local cuisine at a variety of restaurants with delicious 3 course meals ranging from $15-$30. To see a list of participating restaurants click here.
2. Barrie Jazz Blues Fest
There will be a number of live musical performances all across Barrie and the surrounding area this weekend as part of the Barrie Jazz Blues Fest.

3. Winterfest 2019
Barrie’s Winterfest will take place this weekend, February 2nd and 3rd.
The event will take place from 10 am-5 pm February 2nd and 10 am-4 pm February 3rd with activities happening all day long. General activities include: Horse-drawn wagon rides, mini tube slide, helicopter rides ($60/person weather permitting), games lounge, skating and more!
4. The Downtown Hot Chocolate Trail
The Downtown Hot Chocolate Trail will be running every Saturday and Sunday for the month of February. There are 15 participating locations serving a total of 20 unique versions of hot chocolate.
Every purchase of hot chocolate at any of the participating locations will include the chance to win a prize voucher! Participants will receive a ballot with each purchase to be entered in a draw that will take place after the last weekend of February.
5. Barrie Colts Home Game
The Colts host the Mississauga Steelheads at The Molson Centre Saturday, February 2nd at 7:30 pm. Our home team is looking to take the "W" from the Steelheads who beat them in overtime last time the two faced off.
6. Endless Ice Skating
Take advantage of all of the fantastic local rinks we have while they are in prime condition.
