Four vehicles were struck by a wheel that came off a car on Highway 400 at County Road 88.

Ontario Provincial Police say one of the wheel nuts was embedded in the windshield of one of the vehicles.

"Please remember to check your wheel nuts regularly and have them re-torqued. In this case, the driver had been to his garage recently and had only driven for a short distance before the tire came off," the OPP Highway Safety Division said on a post to X.

The driver of the car was not charged.

There were no injuries.
