If you’re wondering, “are there any restaurants with plant-based options?” the answer is yes! There are 3 local restaurants offering a completely plant-based menu, and several other restaurants with vegetarian options as well.

The Local Gastropub

The Local Gastropub is the only plant-based pub in Ontario. “Plant-based” and “pub fare” aren’t words you usually see together, but the Gastropub has blended both concepts in the most delicious way possible. You can choose any 3 items from their Barrielicious menu to create your dinner. The Vegan Mac & Cheese is a must try, as is the “Fish” & Chips, but truthfully you can’t go wrong with whatever you choose.

Ripe Juicery

In case you missed the news, Ripe Juicery offers more than just juice. In fact, they have a full menu and have some absolutely delicious options available during Barrielicious. Their $25 3-course menu includes items like Aloha Thai Spring Rolls, Quinoa Sushi, Raw Pad Thai, Kimchi Black Bean Burger and you can top it all off with a vegan Snickers for dessert. Yum!

They have over 30 different burger options on their menu, so there is something for every taste. The Buffalo and Greek Burgers are particular favourites around here, but there are so many delicious choices it’s hard to choose!

The Southwest Crunch Burger, with a side order of nachos

There are several other restaurants that have vegetarian and vegan options on their menu’s as well. You can check out the full list of participating restaurants (and their menu’s!) here.
