Woman 3x over legal limit for alcohol: Barrie police

A slow-speed head-on crash in south Barrie just after 5:30 p.m. on Monday has resulted in one of the motorists being charged with impaired driving.

Police say the collision happened at Bryne Drive and Caplan Avenue.

They say a 57-year-woman from Barrie exhibited obvious signs of impaired and was arrested.

Police allege she blew three times over the legal limit.

The woman was also charged with operating a vehicle without insurance.

The vehicle has been impounded for seven days, and her licence has been suspended for 90-days.
