Woman blows 4x over the legal limit: Orillia OPP

A traffic complaint helped police track the driver down
Wasaga Beach resident robbed by man claiming to be a police officer

Provincial police acting on a traffic complaint about a possible impaired driver in Severn Township pulled over a vehicle on Upper Big Chute around 10 p.m. on Thursday. The driver was arrested and transported to the Orillia detachment for further investigation. Police say the woman blew four times the legal limit.

The 40 -year-old from Severn was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol consumption (80 plus)

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in court on July 12, 2022.

Her vehicle was impounded for seven days and she was issued a 90-day driver's licence suspension.
