Woman struck by vehicle in Orillia, airlifted to Toronto; investigators seeking witnesses

Early stages of investigation suggest an unfortunate mishap

A woman was rushed to Toronto hospital after being struck by a car in an Orillia parking lot.

First responders were called to a business on Murphy Road around 11 p.m. April 1 with reports of an injured woman in the parking lot. Police say she was struck by a vehicle that was found unattended, up against a nearby business. The 47-year-old woman from Adjala-Tosorontio was airlifted to Toronto.

Initial investigation suggests this was an unfortunate mishap with no criminality involved, but investigators still would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident. Call 1-888-310-1122 if you have any information.
