Two suspects are being sought in connection with what York Regional Police (YRP) say were "disturbing" acts of targeted vandalism in Vaughan.
Police were called out on Wednesday to the area of Melville Avenue and Hudson Drive after a resident reported that someone had spray-painted obscenities on an SUV in their driveway and on the garage door overnight.
"Two male suspects were observed in the area at approximately 2:14 a.m.," police said in a news release on Wednesday. "One of the suspects is seen walking up the driveway, smashing the vehicle’s windows and spray-painting graffiti on it. He then sprays more graffiti on the garage. The second suspect appears to be standing on the sidewalk as a lookout."
Then just over an hour later, the same person called police again to report that someone had thrown a skinned goat head through the front window of the home. When officers arrived, they found three vehicles in the driveway had graffiti spray-painted on them and stick figures spray-painted on the walkway where a second goat head was located.
Later that day police were called to another home in the area of Weston Road and Villa Royale Avenue, where a person told police that someone had left skinned goat heads on their front doorstep and a threat was spray-painted on the walkway.
"Investigators believe the incidents are targeted and that the same suspects are responsible for all three occurrences. It’s believed the second home the suspects attended was a mistaken target," police added.
