YRP release TikTok video of motorcyclist travelling at speeds up to 260 km/h

Police say tips from the public assisted with their investigation

If this was his idea of showing off, it could end up being very costly.

A 27-year-old Newmarket man is facing several dangerous driving and stunt driving charges after York Regional Police say he posted videos of himself to TikTok and Instagram driving a motorcycle faster than 260 km/h.

Police credit tips from the public in assisting them with their investigation.

"He also won't be shooing GoPro from his bike for a while since it's been impounded for 14 days," YRP posted to Twitter on Friday, along with a video of one of his alleged antics.

The man was arrested on Thursday.

If convicted, he faces up to $10,000 in fines.
