Small gestures show that you care about the object of your affection.

Little things like a good morning text letting them know you're thinking about them, goes a long way.

Now, a new term for these small gestures is floating around on TikTok called "pebbling."

The newest term for this understated love language comes from Penguins.

When a male penguin is interested in a female, he brings her a rock, which can also be used to build a nest.

Sending memes and gifs to your partner is also seen as "pebbling" to brighten their day.

The cute term might be new, but "Pebbling" isn't exclusive to a romantic relationship.

Those with kids know the happy feeling you get when your small child gifts you a leaf, a flower, or even, yes, a rock.

It's all they have to give you, and it means the world.

I still have a small box filled with leaves my oldest would give me on walks. Adorable!
