Driver of 18-wheeler without a licence after being nabbed for stunt driving near Orr Lake

Police say there have been complaints from the public about speeding in the area

In response to complaints from the public about speeding vehicles in the Orr Lake area, Huronia West OPP put the brakes on a tractor trailer driver.

Police say they stopped the rig on Highway 93 just before 12:30 on Thursday afternoon. The truck was clocked travelling 103 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone.

The 31-year-old driver from the Napanee area was charged with stunt driving. The motorist received an automatic 30-day driver’s licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 14-days.
