Happy Easter weekend! It's a busy weekend in Barrie and the surrounding area for all sorts of Easter related fun including festivals, egg hunts and specialty brunches.

2. Geocaching

Geocaching is the perfect spring activity. You can download a geocaching app to your phone that will lead you to a variety of hidden objects around the city using a GPS. Happy hunting!

3. Earth Day at Simcoe County Museum

Celebrate Earth Day early this Saturday, April 20th, at Simcoe County Museum. This year's activities are all about the sun.

Explore the incredible powers of the sun, learn how to protect yourself from its powerful rays and then use the sun's energy to cook a delicious treat.

Admission to the day is by donation. All outdoor activities are weather permitting.

4. Final Weekend At The Johnson's Residence

Attention party people of Barrie! The very last weekend of The Johnson's Residence is taking place this weekend before new renovations begin. Get your final fix of the ball pit and laughs with Jeeves the butler while you can. The very last night will be Sunday April 21st.

5. Maple Mayhem

Muskoka Lakes Farm and Winery is having a 3 day celebration of the maple harvest, rain or shine, from April 19th-21st.

Features include: Instagram scavenger hunt (an Easter hunt for grown ups), log sawing contest, music by the fire( sing along style), cranberry pancakes. maple taffy and wine tasting.

Admission ranges from $5-$20.

6. Thornbury Craft Cider & Brew House

Take a day trip to Collingwood to enjoy the spring weather and finish the day with a locally brewed cider at Thornbury Craft Cider & Brew House.

7. Live Music @ The Foxx

April 19th at The Foxx Lounge is a night of metalcore featuring music from 4 different local bands. Admission is $10. April 20th will feature 3 different bands to The Foxx for a wild 4/20 party. Admission is $5. Both nights are 19+ events.

8. Ice cream Road Trips

There are a number of adorable ice cream shops located just a short drive outside of Barrie in Thornton. The mini road trip makes it a fun spring activity and the sweet treats are worth it. Check out the video below to see what we're talking about:
