OPP seeking information involving arson in New Tecumseth

Nottawasaga OPP are investigating a suspected arson that occurred Wednesday morning in a New Tecumseth subdivision.

Officers and New Tecumseth Fire Rescue crews responded to the structure fire around 3:30 a.m. at the site of a newly constructed and unoccupied house on Lawrence D. Pridham Avenue.

Crews successfully extinguished the fire and no injuries have been reported.

The male suspect's vehicle shown on camera is described as a dark coloured Audi Hatchback that was seen in the area shortly after 3 a.m. His appearance is described as wearing a dark sweater with a light-coloured stripe across the chest and arms.

Anyone with knowledge of the incident or security camera footage in the area is urged to contact the Nottawasaga OPP Major Crime Unit.
