Provincial police say they have received multiple reports of counterfeit Canadian currency being passed at businesses in the Midland and Penetanguishene area.
The fake cash involves $50 and $100 bills, police said in a media released.
Police are asking members of the public and local business owners to remain vigilant when handling cash and to watch for signs of counterfeit currency, including irregular texture, poor print quality, or missing security features.
