1. Special Events & Activities @ Barrie Public Library

All Barrie Public Library locations, including Downtown, Holly, and Painswick will have a number of exciting, free events taking place during March Break. For the younger crowd, this year's lineup will include Bluey Celebrations, Minecraft Mania, Lego Robotics, Mario Mayhem, a Stuffed Animal Pet Show and more! For the teens, there will be a Hunger Games Escape Room, murder mysteries and creative spaces.

2. March Break Escape @ Friday Harbour

Friday Harbour is an ideal destination to escape the winter blues and enjoy some much-needed rest and relaxation. During the March Break, Friday Harbour has lots of things to do, including ice skating, fat bike rentals, hiking, tasty treats, and more.

3. Meet-and-Greets and Live Shows @ The Georgian Mall

Georgian Mall has a great lineup this March Break! Meet the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Spongebob Square Pant. Take in a high-energy sing along and dance party with Team T&J Kids Jumpin' Jamboree. Or check out J's magic show. There will also be tasty March Break food specials and fun activities at Indigo.

4. March Break Events @ Tanger Outlets

Head to Tanger Outlet Mall from March 9 to 17, for the March Break Ed-Zoo-Cation Experience with tons of cuddly creatures and exotic animals. The event is completely free and promises to be an exciting and memorable experience for both parents and kids.

5. Big Balloon Show @ Meaford Hall

Kick off March Break with a magical and balloon-filled adventure at Meaford Hall! The Balloon Making Machine Show puts a fun and creative twist on a classic magic performance, incorporating balloons into every act for a show that is both entertaining and full of surprises.

Featuring handmade illusions, comedy, and plenty of interactive moments, this unique experience is sure to have kids bursting with excitement.

The show takes place on Sunday, March 9th, with shows at 2 pm and 6 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth (12 and under).

6. Adventures In Time Travel @ Sainte-Marie Among The Hurons

The Adventures in Travel event at Sainte-Marie Among The Hurons is a special event that offers visitors the opportunity to experience 1639 life in Wendake in a fun and interactive way.

During the Adventures in Travel event, visitors can participate in a variety of activities including First Nations games, making your own cornhusk doll or clay pots, scavenger hunts and more. Tickets to the event are $12; entry is free for children 5 and under.

7. Pottery Wheel Sessions @ Creative Café

This event is for kids ages 8 & up to explore their creative side. Participants will learn how to use a pottery wheel and have a chance to produce two pieces each.

Creative Café also has a great selection of premade pottery items that you can paint, as well as canvas painting and glass fusing.

8. Winter Walks

Bundle up and get outside to enjoy the beautiful scenery throughout the trails in our area. We've put together a list of some of the best places to get out for a walk with the whole family. Check it out here.
