The MacLaren Art Centre's Benefactor Programme was started with the
goal of increasing support for the MacLaren through its membership base. People who become benefactors are supporting the gallery and local artists, and also have the opportunity to select a work of art to keep on loan for a year.

More than 180 professional artists had their work available through the benefactor program

During the art exchange every spring, benefactors are invited to choose which piece of art they'd like to keep for the following year. Names are randomly selected - the earlier your name is chosen, the better your chance of snagging the piece you had your eye on.
