The Good Boys is looking to be the "Superbad" of middle school. A comedy movie about 3 boys getting into some raunchy misadventures. Written and directed by Gene Stupnitsky (Bad Teacher, The Office), don't let the young actors fool you, this one is rated R.
47 Meters Down: Uncaged
47 Meters Down: Uncaged is a new horror/thriller that doesn't look to be breaking any new ground but might be a fun shark movie to check out. The story looks pretty cut and dry, there are no big names to carry it, and the director isn't well known for much outside this movie. Maybe there's a reason this movie got made, but for now, I can't really see why.
Blinded By The Light
A British Teen of Pakistani decent finds comfort and inspiration in the music of Bruce Springsteen. A comedy/drama, Blinded By The Light has a lot to say about the nature of intolerance and traditional values to go along with it's (obviously) fantastic soundtrack.
Where'd You Go, Bernadette
Where'd You Go, Bernadette is the story of Bernadette's family and the adventure they go on to find out where she might have gone. With some fantastic talent like Cate Blanchett (Thor, LOTR), Kristen Wiig (SNL, Brides Maids), and Billy Crudup (Almost Famous, Watchmen) along with a feel-good mood and style, this one looks to be an easy watch.
After The Wedding
Secrets hide in every shadow when a woman travels to New York in order to secure funds for an orphanage in India. Thanks to some fantastic performances and a well-paced script, After The Wedding has been on a lot of people's radar after receiving some glowing reviews at the Sundance Film Festival. This one is only seeing a limited release so it might be tricky to find a theatre showing it but keep an eye out for its at-home release.
