Cineplex Community Day

Cineplex Barrie will be hosting a free collection of Christmas movies for Community Day. Five different movies in five different theatres will be playing at the same time so you just pick your favorite, grab some popcorn, and enjoy. Movies include A Christmas Story, Elf, Gremlins, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, and The Polar Express.

Live Music At The Speakcheasy

Every Friday night in December, The Speakcheasy (a 1920's prohibition-style bar) will feature live jazz and blues music from some of the best local artists. Enjoy unique cocktails, fondu, and charcuterie boards all while toe-tapping along to some fantastic music.

December 6th - 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Holiday Maker Market

If you still have some Christmas shopping to do (and let's be honest, I think we all do), the Holiday Maker Market at the Five Points Theatre is the perfect place to cross a few names off your list. Live music, entertainment and tons of local vendors to find a unique, homemade gift. It's only $5 to enter too!

First Light

This is your last weekend to check out First Light at Saint-Marie Among The Hurons. Adorned with over 5000 candles and packed with music, vendors, and festive treats, First Light is a wonderful experience for the whole family. Tickets are only $10 with a non-perishable food donation.

Canada's Wonderland has transformed itself into a winter wonderland for Winterfest. There is a tree lighting ceremony every night at 530 PM, a Christmas market with tons of goodies, a dazzling display of festive lights, and so much more. Tickets are $21.99 and Winterfest is happening all month long.

December 6th - 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM
December 7th - 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM
December 8th - 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Glowing Hearts For The Holidays

The Glowing Hearts Community Give & Get is hosting its second annual Christmas fundraiser at Glowing Hearts For The Holidays. Taking place at Mavricks Music Hall, this free event will have food, drinks, raffles, silent auction, bake sale, live entertainment, children's activities, and a visit from Santa.

December 8th - 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM


Brunch With Santa

The Barrie Country Club (BCC) is hosting a Brunch With Santa event to celebrate the holidays. Bring the whole family and enjoy some delicious food and a visit from the big man himself. Adults are $39, seniors are $29, kids from 6 to 12 are $23, and kids under 5 are only $6.

December 8th - Seating every hour from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM
