Beethoven Lives Upstairs

Celebrate the 250th birthday of one of the greatest composers of all time at the Huronia Symphony Orchestra's production of Beethoven Lives Upstairs at the Collier Street United Church. Tickets to the event are only $30 and will feature players from the Huronia Symphony Youth Program and young soloist Lucas Candelino on violin.

Boomerang Bags Sewing Bee

Boomerang Bags Barrie is an organization dedicated to providing re-usable fabric bags, cutting down the amount of one-use plastic bags people shop with. Every second Sunday of the month at the Barrie Public Library they hold a sewing bee where you can help with sewing (or learn to sew), cutting, pinning, or ironing.

February 9th - 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM

Barrie Colts VS Sudbury Wolves

Barrie Colts will host the visiting Sudbury Wolves this Saturday at the Sadlon Arena. The Colts have been looking a lot better recently with their new coach behind the bench, winning their last 2 games but the Wolves have had the Colts number this season winning all six of their meetings so far.

February 8th - 7:30 PM


Feel The Heat

Take your mind off the cold weather and onto a couple of hot bowls of chili! Barrie Harley Davidson is hosting their Feel The Heat chili contest for the second year in a row and you can join them for a fun (and filling) afternoon. There are six teams with six chilis so make sure to bring an appetite!

February 8th - 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Chili Served from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM)



Heart & Soul Self Care Event

This weekend at the Mapleview Community Church a huge number of local vendors will come together for the Heart & Soul Self Care Event where you can shop and grab some warm drinks from the coffee shop. A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to support Bridget's Bunnies with donations also being accepted.

February 8th - 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM


Georgian College Open House

If you have been entertaining the idea of going back to school, all Georgian College campuses are holding a winter open house where you can take student-led tours, get info about student services, and meet future teachers in your program. You can also enter a contest that will give you a shot at $5,000 towards your tuition.

February 8th - 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM


Under The Stars

This must be the weekend of self-care! Snow Valley is hosting an Under The Stars event with three awesome activities included. Start the night with a guided snowshoe tour followed by a rejuvenating yoga session in the chalet and end with hot stones and delicious refreshments. Adults are $49.99 and youths are $29.99.
