3 youths, one adult charged in limousine carjacking in Springwater

Provincial police say three youths and an adult have been charged following in the carjacking of a limousine in Springwater Township.

Around 2:30 on Saturday, OPP received a call from a limousine driver who said he was assaulted by four people he was taken to a destination, and then stole the vehicle, leaving the person on George Johnston Road.

About two hours later, the limousine was found on Sunnidale Concession 6 in Clearview Township.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Police have charged a 21-year-old man from Milton and three youths with assault with a weapon, robbery with violence, theft of a motor vehicle, administering a noxious substance, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The youths were released on an undertaking and the other accused was held for a bail hearing. The four suspects are to appear in court at a later date.
