Orillia OPP say an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) driver was airlifted to a Toronto hospital with serious injuries after a collision in Severn Township.
On Saturday, July 23, around 9:30 p.m., police responded to a single ATV rollover, where the driver was ejected, on Taylor Line near Upper Big Chute Road.
They say the lone rider, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to a local hospital, and later airlifted to Toronto.
OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionists are assisting with the investigation.

OPP say when riding an off-road vehicle (ORV) on or off-road, drivers and passengers must wear an approved helmet, securely fastened under the chin with a chinstrap. When riding, please follow the following safety tips:
- Always ride according to the trail, road and weather conditions
- Use extreme caution when turning, crossing, climbing and descending hills
- Drive sober - it's illegal to drive while impaired by alcohol or drugs
- Ride in designated areas only
- Respect the environment and keep noise levels low
