Filippo Ferraro of Barrie can realize his dreams after winning a $500,000 Maxmillions prize in the July 19, 2024 Lotto Max draw.
Filippo, a retiree, has been an occasional lottery player with OLG for as long as he can remember. He loves to play Lotto Max and always uses OLG’s Quick Pick feature to make his selections. Today, he is celebrating his first big win!
“I was at the store when I used the ticket checker to see if I had won,” said Filippo, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “When I saw the prize amount pop up on the screen, I couldn’t believe my eyes! I scanned my ticket a few more times and immediately went home to figure out what to do next.”
Excited to share the news of his win, Filippo reached out to his brother. “He was so happy for me, saying ‘Good for you!’”
With his windfall, Filippo looks forward to traveling.
The winning ticket was purchased at Shell on Cundles Road in Barrie.
