York Regional Police say two people are dead following a shooting this morning at Bayview Park in Keswick, in the area of Bayview Avenue and Lowndes Avenue.
Just before 7:30, police responded to the sounds of gunshots in the park. When officers arrived, they found two adults suffering from gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
This is an isolated incident, according to police, and there is no immediate threat to public safety.
Authorities are asking anyone who was in the area, or lives in the neighbourhood, to
check their security cameras and dashcam footage.
