One of two vehicles that did not stop at a R.I.D.E. program in Springwater Township early Monday was stolen.
Police say officers were conducting the program at the intersection of Seadon Road and Byers Street, just west of Barrie, when a dark-coloured Ford F-150 pickup truck with a chrome grill and detailing approached the spot check followed by a newer matte grey model Mercedes four-door sedan.
"Both vehicles accelerated past the R.I.D.E. program without stopping," police said in a news release on Thursday.
The licence of the pickup truck was obtained and police followed up with the registered owner who said the truck had been stolen from their driveway minutes prior.
Descriptions were obtained of the suspects using video surveillance from the residence.

Suspect #1 was described as:
· Thin build, approximately 6'3" tall wearing navy blue pants with grey underwear protruding from beneath, a black hood jacket, black ski mask and blue surgical gloves.
Suspect #2 was described as:
· Dressed in all black with facemask.
