Leaf and yard waste collection is resuming with bi-weekly collections throughout July in Simcoe County starting Monday.
Residents will receive two bi-weekly collections during the month of July which will occur on their corresponding garbage collection week.
Collections may occur at any point during that week, not necessarily on the residence's designated garbage collection day. The county is requesting that residents leave their materials at the curb by 7 a.m. on Monday of their collection week.
Leaf and yard waste collection materials include leaves, grass, garden waste and appropriately sized and bundles branches.
The county is reminding residents to use kraft paper yard waste bags, cardboard boxes, or open-ended rigid containers to place out for collection and to bundle brush with natural twine, maximum 2 metres long and 30 centimetres in diameter.
This program does not apply to residents of Barrie or Orillia.
