A seven-year-old was the victim of an attempted hit-and-run in Alliston Saturday, for which OPP eventually located the suspect and and arrested two teenagers.

Just before 11 p.m., Nottawasaga OPP responded to an emergency call regarding a pedestrian struck with a vehicle on Church Street South.

The seven-year-old pedestrian was brought to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Shortly after, the suspect was located by officers on Industrial Parkway and two people were charged.

A 19-year-old man from Alliston was booked on 10 charges including three counts of assault with a weapon.

Also, a 16-year-old from Bradford was charged with two counts of failing to comply with a release order, which the other suspect received as well.

Both were held in custody ahead of an eventual bail hearing while the OPP Major Crime Unit assists with the ongoing investigation.
