Two men were caught speeding and stunt driving by South Simcoe Police in separate incidents, each of at least 65 kilometres per hour over the posted limit.
These two incidents are contributing to the service's commitment to target stunt driving to protect community safety.
"To make our communities safer, all frontline officers are trained in speed enforcement as part of our commitment to reducing collisions," South Simcoe Police said in a news release. "Speeding and stunt driving continue to be contributing factors to serious and fatal motor vehicle collisions."

INCIDENT ONE
August 18, around 3:50, police say they saw a white Honda Civic speeding on County Road 27 in Innisfil. Eventually, police initiated a traffic stop after the vehicle was recorded travelling at 145 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
As a result, a 48-year-old male from Brampton was handed two charges.

No person shall drive a motor vehicle at a rate of speed greater than 80 kilometres per hour on a highway designated by the Lieutenant Governor in Council as a controlled-access highway under the Public Transportation and Highway Improvement Act, whether or not the highway is within a local municipality or built-up area
Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s.172(1)
No person shall drive a motor vehicle on a highway in a race or contest, on a bet or wager or while performing a stunt.
His driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, vehicle impounded for 14 days, and is scheduled to appear in court in October.
INCIDENT TWO
Tuesday at 11:25 a.m., South Simcoe Police recorded a red Mercedes AMG going 154km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone on County Road 27 in Innisfil.
The driver, a 27-year-old from Angus, was handed two charges.
