A man is facing numerous charges after provincial police responded to a break-in just after midnight on Tuesday at a business on Colborne Street in Orillia.

Witnesses reported seeing a man and a woman enter a store and then leave with items. They were described as wearing hospital masks and dark clothing, and had a bicycle pulling a red wagon.

Police say they located one of the suspects and recovered the following items:

  • 107 packs of cigarettes
  • 1 case of Busch Light beer
  • 1 case of Twisted Tea
  • 13 packs of beef jerky
  • 9 Guardian Sleeman cooler sleeves.

A 31-year-old man from Ramara was charged with break and enter to commit an indictable offence, resisting a peace officer, disguise with intent, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and failure to comply with a probation order.

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
