Ally Rowe is being recognized for her individual effort in 2025 after leading Simcoe County Rovers women to its first League1 ON and Interprovincial championships.
The Kitchener-native won League1 ON MVP and Forward of the Year after leading the league with 24 goals, including 10 over her last four games of the season.
She is the first Simcoe County Rovers player to win either award in either the women's division. The only other award winner in club history was Cloey Uddenburg, who won Midfielder of the Year in 2023.
The award caps off a year-long period of impressive accolades for the 24-year-old. At Cape Breton, she finished the 2024 season with another AUS title, became the conference's all-time scoring leader, and earned nods as a first-team All-Canadian, and U Sports Player of the Year.
Each of the other four league awards in the women's division had nominees from Simcoe County. Goalkeeper Marilena Spagnolo, defender Bryanna Caldwell, and midfielder Stefanie Young were finalists for their respective positional awards.
Meanwhile, Teagan Handley was a nominee for the best young player award. Head coach Zack Wilson is a finalist for Coach of the Year.
On the men's side, Reshaun Walkes was a nominee for forward of the year after finishing tied for fifth in the league with nine goals.
