Alpaca takes a stroll on Highway 400

Aurora OPP came to the aid of an alpaca found wandering Highway 400.

In a tweet posted Sunday, police said the animal was corralled by officers.

“’See alpcas go slow’ doesn't have the same ring as ‘SeeSnowGoSlow’ but honestly, if you see one on the highway... slow down,” police said in the tweet.

Police said the animal's owner was contacted and helped move it to safety.

There is no word on how the alpaca managed to get onto the highway.
