About a day after South Simcoe Police issued their first three-day cannabis-based licence suspension, they’ve handed down another one.
An officer out and about on Sideroad 5 spotted a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed around 9:00 Friday morning. The vehicle was pulled over, and the officer claimed to smell the tell-tale scent of cannabis.
A roadside drug screening test was administered, resulting in a positive THC reading. A 20-year-old Innisfil man with a G2 licence was handed the suspension along with a ticket for speeding and one for not wearing a seat belt.
