It has been three years since 26-year-old Autumn Shaganash was last seen, and Barrie police say the case remains an active and ongoing investigation as they renew their appeal for information.

Shaganash disappeared on June 10, 2023, and has not been seen since.

"Since that day, her family and friends have had to endure the past three years without knowing what happened, where she is, or whether she's okay. That uncertainty is a pain no family should have to endure," police said in a news release on Wednesday.

Police are again asking the public to come forward with any information.

Autumn was last seen in the area of Sunnidale Park, close to the Sunnidale Road and Letitia Street intersection, between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. She was on her way to the Barrie Air Show at the waterfront with a male friend who was walking just ahead of her, and when he turned around, she was gone. Autumn vanished the same day dozens of people were at an ALS walk in the park. Police are confident that someone who has yet to come forward must have seen something.

“Three years is an unimaginable amount of time for a family to wait for answers. We never stopped investigating this case, just as the Shaganash family has never stopped holding onto hope. The passage of time does not diminish the importance of this investigation. We believe there are people who know something and we are asking them to come forward. The smallest detail could make all the difference," Sgt. Brett Carleton of the Major Crime Unit said in the news release.

In December 2025, the reward for information leading to answers in the case was increased up to $100,000.

A digital billboard campaign featuring Shaganash was launched this week and will run throughout June and can be seen at various locations in the city, thanks to the support from Pattison Outdoor Advertising.

Police say the renewed campaign is meant to keep her disappearance in the public eye and reinforce that the investigation remains active.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Barrie Police at 705-725-7025, ext. 2160. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers.
