Awesome Christmas Light Displays in Simcoe County

Is your house on fire, Clark?
Christmas light displays in Barrie and Simcoe County

Taking a walk or a drive around Simcoe County, it doesn't take long to realize that we've got holiday spirit in abundance here. From organizations to citizens, everyone is always overjoyed when it comes time to once again light up the night with Christmas Light Displays (let's just not go overboard like a certain Clark Griswold).

123 Violet Street, Barrie

It's probably a silly question...but are there any music fans out there? The light display at 123 Violet Street combines some amazing illumination that flickers in real-time to music!

20 Violet Street, Barrie

While on Violet, be sure to head over to 20 Violet Street. They have combined Halloween and Christmas decorations for a unique and whimsical display!

15 Shalom Way, Barrie

In past years you may have stopped by 36 Shalom Way. The bad news is, there are no lights up at #36. The good news is, there are lots of other houses in the area with stunning light displays, including 15 Shalom Way.

2 Finsbury Avenue, Barrie

If you are in the neighbourhood of Shalom Way, be sure to stop by 2 Finsbury Ave. The yard glows with hundreds of lights and fun characters.

1 & 2 Silvercreek Crescent, Barrie

Head to Silvercreek Crescent to take in these two homes. The competing corners have created stunning displays with so many details to admire you won't know where to look next. Which house do you think did the best job?

111 Hickling Trail, Barrie

If you're in the East End of Barrie, be sure to stop by 111 Hickling Trail. Complete with a leaping reindeer, this has to be one of the sparkliest homes in town.

While there, head to 222 Hickling Trail for another fun light display.

Barrie Lakeshore

Passing by the Barrie Lakeshore, it's hard to miss the wonderful light display that dots the park. What you might not know is that the display there isn't actually put on by The City of Barrie, but is instead hosted by The Rotary Club of Barrie!

Luma Light Trail, Friday Harbour

While this one does carry a price tag, the nearly one-kilometre-long trail of lights that run throughout Friday Harbour is so beautiful it is definitely worth it. There's even a special Starbucks Hut at the end of the Luma Light Trail to get a hot beverage to warm yourself up with!

65 Davis Trail, Thornton

Featuring sounds, lights, music and talking characters, this 25-minute light show is a must-see and is just a short drive outside of Barrie!

While all the Christmas light displays we've mentioned should definitely be at the top of your list, you can see some amazing lights pretty much everywhere you go!
