Barrie police have charged a suspect in connection with a robbery at a Dunlop Street West convenience store.
On May 20, police say they responded to the business after the shopkeeper had twice asked a man to leave the store that evening, and once on the previous day. After an exchange of words, the man allegedly grabbed an item from the counter.
"As the shopkeeper struggled to retrieve it, a scuffle occurred outside the store where the shopkeeper was assaulted," according to a news release from police.
There were no injuries.
Investigators obtained video surveillance, which was used to obtain additional details of the accused's description.
When he was arrested on Thursday, police say he was in the same clothing that he wore during Tuesday's incident.
A 20-year-old Bradford man was charged with robbery.
He was released from custody and is to appear in court next month.
