The Barrie Food Bank reached its holiday goal!

But that doesn't mean you should stop donating!

With an amazing amount of support from the community, The Barrie Food Bank has reached its holiday goal of $250,000!

After reaching their goal, Sharon Palmer, Executive Director put out a statement thanking donors:

First, I want to say thank you for the amazing support so many of you have shown to the Barrie Food Bank during this past year. Without the generous donations of our community, we could not provide groceries each month to over 1000 households in Barrie and surrounding communities. We are so proud to say that the Barrie Food Bank is a “community food bank” and supported by our community, Thank you for making a difference in the lives of so many women, men and children!

We all know we still have a long way to go in dealing with this global pandemic, and we all need to follow the right protocols to keep everyone safe and healthy. Thank you for doing your part, and thank you for caring for others.

We do expect that the usage of the Bank will remain high over the next year as there is an affordable housing crisis in Barrie and job loss due to the pandemic. If you would like to provide your support we would encourage you to stay safe, stay home, and make an online donation on our website at Thank you!

The Barrie Food Bank is so appreciative of the generosity of our community, which has allowed us to continue to feed those families and individuals in need throughout this pandemic.
