A Barrie man is facing multiple sex-related charges after Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said they received information on Oct. 23 about a historical sexual offence on a minor.
The following day, Orillia OPP received a warrant to search a Barrie home for evidence and found and seized property that contained child pornography.
On Wednesday, a 62-year-old was charged with the following:
- Invitation to Sexual Touching
- Sexual Interference
- Makes, Prints, Publishes or Possession for the Purpose of Publication Any Child Pornography - 2 counts
- Possession of Child Pornography
- Make Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Person Under 18 Years of Age - 2 counts
- Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 Years of Age - 2 counts
- Invitation to Sexual Touching Under 16 Years of Age
- Sexual Interference
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
