Barrie Minor Hockey Association cancels remainder of season
Pro-rated refunds will be issued for unused ice-times.
It’s a bodycheck the Barrie Minor Hockey Association (BMHA) was unable to absorb.
“After careful consideration of all options available to continue the season, unfortunately, we must announce that we have officially cancelled the remainder of the 2020-2021 season.”
After finding a way to get its players back on the ice, despite the ongoing pandemic, the BMHA says, “restrictions have been put in place that have disabled our ability to offer minor hockey at this time.”
BMHA will be giving pro-rated refunds to registered participants based on unused ice-times.
The refund process began today (Jan. 18) starting with the U7 age group and proceeding up through the age groups. Due to the volume of refunds that must be processed, it could take time for some families to receive their refund.
