Barrie Police Looking For Witnesses to Fatal Hit-and-Run

Suspect Vehicle Would Have Front End Damage

A 33-year-old man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle overnight.

Police were called to the intersection of Wellington and Toronto Streets around 2:45 Friday morning, to find an injured man on the roadway. Investigators say he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. The victim was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The involved vehicle is believed to be a navy blue compact or mid-sized SUV/crossover or mini-van type vehicle, which would have significant damage to the front end.
